Holy Christ -- from 2004, it's the Wallflowers (with Jakob Dylan) and Jordan Zevon doing his dad's fricking great "Lawyers, Guns and Money."
Wow. Rather spectacular evidence that talent, if not necessarily genius, can be inherited, wouldn't you say?

Wow!
I always gave the Wallflowers short shrift before. They can wail, can't they?
Wow as well. The bands saound so much better when they play with their own rhythm section.
A great song, and one of Dave's favorites I understand.
Good find, thanks for sharing.

I remember being blown away when that first aired; so nice to see it again. Still, it's a shame that we're such a bunch of crybabies that they had to censor the word "shit" in there.
Hey, has anyone seen a recent photo of Jakob Dylan? He's got some fuzz on his face, and you'd swear he just stepped off the cover of Nashville Skyline.
I just got his new album in the mail. Haven't heard it yet, but I guess I'll throw it on the iPod for the weekend...
Heartthrob alert!
Poor Jordan...it must suck to lose your hair before your dad does...
Cool, cool, cool. And hey you know what, Justin Townes Earle is another case in point re apples, falling, distance & trees.
Wallflowers rock.
Hmmm, I used to go drinking with The Wallflowers guitarist, back in the days when Ben Peeler had just been unceremoniously dumped from The Mavericks. He was the housemate of a guy I went to school with. Nice guy. Quiet; very, very talented.
More r&r offspring notes: Richard & Linda Thompson's son, Teddy, is about to drop his fourth album, while their daughter Kamila's debut is also imminent. (Third child Muna is staying far from the music biz, at least so far.) Both seem to take after Mom more than Dad, with Teddy in particular being a spectacularly talented harmony singer.
