Your Wednesday Moment of Words Fail Me

Apparently, this is an official video for George Harrison's gorgeous "What Is Life."

I have no idea who is responsible for this, or when it's from, but I must confess I completely lost it yesterday when I stumbled across it at YouTube.

Seriously -- if this doesn't reduce you to a puddle of tears, I don't want to know you.

In 2008, I put together a slide show for the 50th birthday of one my dearest friends. Her favorite Beatle is George, so I used "What Is Life" as the soundtrack to about 100 stills of all of us in various places- each other's weddings, road trips, vacations, etc. There wasn't a dry eye in the house. I will never hear that song again without thinking of that birthday week, which seven of us spent a friend's house in Santa Fe. This song is perfection and this video is beyond wonderful. Thanks for the share and for letting me share.

The short version is that George's widow Olivia and son Dhani had an online contest for fans to do a video for the song. This was the winner.

The gal is Emma Rubinowitz, who apparently is from the San Francisco ballet.
