Two songs with the same title and the same theme. And as different as night and day.
From 1967, please enjoy barking mad British eccentrics The Bonzo Dog Band and "I'm Bored."
And from 1979, consider if you will the irrepressible Iggy Pop and his meditation of the same name.
To be honest, I've never been able to decide which one of these I love more. Iggy's rocks harder, obviously (great guitar work courtesy of Scott Thurston, currently of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, which always amuses me). But the Bonzos track is just drop dead funny on every level.

Why choose? Both are great!
New Values is a great "lost" Iggy album. Came out right after the one-two punch of The Idiot and Lust for Life, but its release was delayed in this country for a year or two, which kinda ruined the momentum.
I remember waiting & waiting for it and finally giving in & buying the import. The first side (remember sides?) is one of the best & most consistent blasts of Iggy ever.
love 'em both, that's some great Iggy, not familiar with that record but I will be soon...
Is "Bored" by Destroy All Monsters close enough ? It has the Stooges connection, too.
In the '60s there was a spate of songs called "On the Road Again."
Ig rocks while the Bonzo number is as much Firesign Theatre as music, but it is really novel and amusing. I just can't dance to it.
I just can't dance to it.
Well, do the Trouser Press, baby!
Too bad this record was followed by "Soldier" and "Party".
