I'll Have What They're Having

From 2017, and their just released album Orange, please enjoy the fabulous Mona Lisa Twins and their new single "Waiting for the Waiter."

And yes, the mysterious Man in Black at the bar playing the familiar sounding blues harmonica is in fact former Lovin' Spoonful frontman (and personal hero of mine) John Sebastian.

Most of the Twins' stuff is considerably more Beatles influenced (their Fabs covers, like this one, are to die for...)

...and closer to the subject of this here blog, but "Waiter" does it for me anyway.

In the meantime, you can -- and should -- order Orange over at the Twins website HERE.

Love it!! And the way that the lyrics flip the meaning of "change" In the last part of the song is very clever.
And of course...Sebastian! Based on my 10 second interaction with him 30 years ago, I thiink I can say confidently that he's the man!

Definitely a Roches vibe in "Waiter."

Nice. And if you go to their website and sign up for their mailing list, they will send you a link to download (for free) Waiter and 2 more tracks. I'll be in Vienna next month, if they are performing locally...

Orange is the best 60's influenced album in the last 50 years. There is not a single bad song on this album. In short ORANGE is a phenomenally extraordinary album. Do yourself a favor and rush out and grab your self a CD or Vinyl.
