Brevity Is the Soul of Wit Part Deux

And now that we've established that teen sensations The Jonas Brothers are not, in fact, The Beatles [see post below], here's another question deserving a pre-emptive short answer.

Does teen sensation Miley Cyrus deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as Chrissie Hynde?

Uh, no.

ditto on the "Uh No"- next they'll be comparing the High School musical kids to Laura Nyro and Joni Mitchell ---

Only as a study in contrasts.

wow, I read the question and "fuck no" jumped out of my lips! My reaction to that comparison was worse than the Beatles comparison. That surprises me, maybe I am used to hacks being compared to the Beatles.

Chrissie, man that offended me.

Only when she (Cyrus) scares the Memphis police worse than Jerry Lee Lewis.

What provoked this bizarre comparison, by the way?

Just preemptive, like I said. I figured if people were comparing the Jonas Bros to the Beatles, it was only a matter of time...

I have noticed in the video that you posted, that Miley does the Susanna Hoffs thing, where she looked into the camera with her pupils in one corner of her eyes, then she closes her eyes and turns her head, and then she's looking into the camera out the OTHER corner of her eyes.

So THERES your comparison.
