A coveted PowerPop No-Prize will be awarded to the first reader who divines its relevance to the theme of tomorrow's Weekend Listomania.

Worst song by an otherwise great artist or group?
Most egregious quick-cutting?
Lame non-cover songs written by outside songwriters?
I like the way Gary thinks. Course, he thought it first!
Worst power ballad? Wow, good luck making that cut! Decisions decisions!

Selling out to prolong a career?
I'll take "Songs by Groups That Decided to Take Themselves Too Seriously," Alex...
Bands, on the cusp of Roll and Hall Hall of Fame induction, that were always boring despite what critics once said.
When chick songs go wrong?
I should note: I have nothing against women or their taste in music, but I've often noticed that a lot of rock bands don't really make it big until they capture the female demographic's ear. Think Def Leppard, Metallica, Dokken, Poison - many times that ballad is the tipping point to greater success. Hell, look at Michael Bolton - how many people remember "Fool's Game"? Anyhoo, no offense, ladies!
