This looks really interesting ... Tom Verlaine and the Million Dollar Bashers: "Cold Irons Bound"

And please assure me that Eddie Vedder did no lasting harm to "Watchtower" ... please?

Tom Verlaine's all over the album, actually.

He's one of the "Million Dollar Bashers", correct?

You are aware that David Cross plays Allen Ginsburg? I saw a clip with him and Cate Blanchett and it started in historical reality and then veered off into pure surrealism.

Looked great.

Vedder's wonderful on "Watchtower."

And the band kicks ass....

Wow, that guy from Pavement is great.

I guess I'm finally gonna have to listen to their albums, which I somehow managed to ignore during the 90s.

I also love Charlotte Gainsborough's "Just Like a Woman."

This is gonna be some movie, if the soundtrack's any indication...

Todd Haynes' films are always fascinating, even those that somehow go awry. But when he is on, he can be both compassionate and illuminating. Those who have recently dissed David Bowie here were probably thrilled with his take on the spider from Mars in "Velvet Goldmine". The character loosely based on Bowie ended up being shallow and dead inside, while the Iggy Pop/Lou Reed character remained true to himself.

Given Dylan's chameleon career, the multi-actor approach to portraying him seems like a stroke of genius. I haven't looked forward to a film this much in a very long time. I trust Haynes not to let me down.

I wished Dylan would have hired Tom Verlaine as his guitarist for a tour and possibly an album.
